To begin with, a 21-year-old National Guard airman has been arrested and charged in connection to the Pentagon leak. The airman has been charged with two counts under the Espionage Act and faces a minimum of 20 years in prison.



Talking of leaks, popular open-source media player software company, Kodi has confirmed that it suffered a data breach after it discovered its user data being auctioned online. The company has started mitigation steps to ensure no further damage from the breach.


In other news, the US is said to be in the process of coming up with “accountability measures” to hold AI companies accountable for how their models are used. This comes as experts around the world continue to express their fears over the potential negative effects of the new technology on the economy and society.


Still, AI continues to be a critical driving factor for future innovations and Amazon has become the latest big tech company to jump on the generative AI race. The company announced the launch of the AWS Bedrock API which will offer 3 AI models to its customers.


In our other top story, BAE Systems has partnered with Microsoft to bring the power of the cloud to the military. The arms and security company is looking to speed up the software development process and create more secure applications by leveraging cloud computing.

To finish it off, cloud marketplace provider Pax8 has appointed veteran David Powell as its new vice president of sales strategy. The new appointee will be in charge of developing a sales strategy to help drive growth and revenue in the company.
