At its 30th annual Partner Summit in Vancouver, Cisco Systems unveiled a major expansion of its global channel strategy, making its Cisco IQ AI-driven intelligence engine directly available to managed service providers (MSPs) and resellers. Cisco also introduced targeted financial incentives under its Cisco 360 Partner Program to accelerate partner monetization across full-stack AI infrastructure, observability, and cross-sell portfolios.

The updates aim to transition traditional hardware resellers into "intelligence-led partners," enabling them to monitor customer network telemetry, automate infrastructure management, and package proprietary agentic AI services.

Partner-Led AI Operations via Cisco IQ and Model Foundry

By making Cisco IQ for Partners generally available, Cisco is extending the same network telemetry and predictive diagnostic engine used internally by its Technical Assistance Center (TAC) directly to channel partners:

  • White-Labeled Managed Services: Through Cisco IQ Partner Support Standard, partners can deliver AI-driven network health monitoring, troubleshooting, and proactive risk remediation under their own brand, maintaining direct control over customer relationships.

  • Direct Telemetry Access: Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) allows enterprise customers to grant partners real-time visibility into their installed bases, eliminating manual inventory exports and streamlining lifecycle management.

  • Agentic Workflows & Model Foundry: Partners can leverage expanded APIs and the Cisco IQ MCP Server to integrate network intelligence into external software platforms like ServiceNow. Additionally, Cisco introduced Cisco Model Foundry, an environment allowing partners to post-train Cisco's domain-specific AI models using customer-specific context and operational guardrails.

Structural Incentive Overhauls and Channel Rewards

To drive adoption across its channel ecosystem, which accounts for approximately 90% of Cisco's global bookings, the company announced new financial rewards and deal protection mechanisms:

  • Cross-Sell and Growth Bonuses: Cisco boosted annual contract value (ACV) growth rewards by 50% and added a 2% cross-sell bonus for partners expanding footprint across core networking, security, and newly integrated Splunk offerings.

  • Ecosystem Deal Registration: Introduced a registration model to financially reward non-transacting partners, including systems integrators, advisors, and software developers, who influence customer purchasing decisions without processing the final hardware transaction.

  • Cisco IQ Adoption Incentives & Builders Challenge: Added dedicated cash bonuses for each customer onboarded to Cisco IQ, alongside a $1 million Cisco Builders Challenge prize pool to catalyze developer-led managed services built on top of Cisco IQ.

Strategic Context: Rack-Scale AI and Managed Intelligence

The program adjustments coincide with Cisco turning on orderability for full-stack AI infrastructure, including validated rack-scale compute architectures featuring Supermicro SKUs on the Cisco Global Price List. By equipping partners with white-labeled AI tools and higher margins on software-led cross-sells, Cisco is positioning its channel network to capture recurring revenue as enterprise IT shifts from basic hardware provisioning toward agentic infrastructure management.
