Incite Automation launches free online course to empower MSPs to sell software solutions

Incite Automation, a company specializing in Microsoft's Power Platform, has announced a free online course aimed at empowering Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to effectively sell software solutions to their clients. The course, titled "Selling Software in the Channel with Incite Automation," is designed to equip MSPs with the knowledge and strategies needed to create new, profitable revenue streams and expand their service offerings.

Bridging the gap between IT and business solutions

Many MSPs focus primarily on hardware, infrastructure, and reactive support. However, Incite Automation argues that there is a massive untapped opportunity in helping clients leverage the software they already own, particularly within the Microsoft ecosystem.


The course teaches MSPs how to transition from being just an IT support provider to a strategic business partner who can identify and solve complex business problems with software.


"The biggest mistake we see MSPs make is that they don't know how to transition the conversation from 'break-fix' to 'value-add'," said a spokesperson for Incite Automation. "This course provides a roadmap for that transition, showing MSPs how to talk about and sell software that their clients will actually want to use."

The free training program is built around a practical, "model-driven" approach to sales and aims to teach MSPs how to:


  • Identify opportunities: Learn what to listen for and what questions to ask to uncover opportunities for software solutions within their existing client base.

  • Demonstrate value: Move beyond technical jargon and focus on showcasing the business outcomes and return on investment (ROI) that software can provide, such as improved efficiency, automation, and cost savings.

  • Navigate the Microsoft ecosystem: Gain a deeper understanding of the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dynamics 365, and how these tools can be used to solve client problems.

  • Build a profitable revenue stream: Learn how to structure and price software solutions as a monthly recurring revenue (MRR) service, ensuring a stable and predictable income stream.

  • Increase client stickiness: By providing high-value software solutions, MSPs can strengthen client relationships and reduce churn.
