The service expands on standalone "Plus" app subscriptions launched earlier in the year, introducing multi-tier packages for consumer power users, creators, and enterprise clients. Meta confirmed that basic app functionalities and standard Meta AI access will remain free.

Tiered Plans for Consumers, Power Users, and Businesses

The Meta One ecosystem consolidates individual app add-ons into unified consumer and enterprise tiers:

  • Individual Product Subscriptions: Users can continue purchasing single-app add-ons—including Instagram Plus ($3.99/month), Facebook Plus ($3.99/month), and WhatsApp Plus ($2.99/month), which offer platform-specific perks such as custom fonts, expanded story controls, custom app themes, and advanced chat management.

  • Core & Premium Personal Bundles: The Core bundle ($7.99/month) combines all three single-app services alongside increased generation limits for Meta AI features, including video restyling and voice effects. The Premium tier ($19.99/month) provides maximum compute allowances for intensive generative media tools, including Meta’s flagship Muse autonomous model.

  • Creator and Business Tiers: Commercial plans range from Essential ($14.99/month) up to Max ($499/month). High-tier packages include account verification, impersonation protection, 30-day Story scheduling, exportable analytics, multi-user access without password sharing, and 24/7 customer support backed by Meta Business Agent on WhatsApp.

Expanding Beyond Advertising Revenue

According to Meta, early phased testing of the individual Plus tiers garnered over 15 million active subscriptions and trials before the unified bundle's release. The company noted that internal usage data showed strong demand for compute-heavy generative tools, with more than half of early subscribers actively using both customization options and AI generation features.

The launch marks a strategic effort by Meta to build a high-margin recurring consumer revenue stream to help offset escalating capital expenditures associated with training and hosting frontier AI models. Meta confirmed plans to expand the Meta One ecosystem in coming updates, integrating subscriber perks into its Edits video software and Ray-Ban Meta AI smart glasses.
