The new releases, including FlashArray//XL R5, FlashArray//ST, and FlashBlade//S R2, aim to eliminate silos, boost performance, and consolidate complex infrastructure under a single intelligent data layer.

“In an era where data is king and IT complexity is the enemy, Pure Storage is rewriting the rules,” said John Colgrove, founder and Chief Visionary at Pure Storage. “Our mission has always been to break the conventions that hold organizations back in a world of exponential data growth.”

Key announcements

FlashArray//XL R5

The latest flagship in the FlashArray family, the XL R5 doubles IOPS per rack unit and boosts raw capacity by up to 50%, allowing customers to consolidate diverse workloads while scaling for future growth.

“This platform is built for extreme demands,” said Steven Allgeier of Fiserv, who cited its reliability for mission-critical operations.

FlashArray//ST

A brand-new addition, FlashArray//ST is optimized for ultra-low latency and high-throughput workloads such as in-memory databases and OLTP systems, delivering over 10 million IOPS in just five rack units.

FlashBlade//S R2

The next-gen FlashBlade now features improved controller blades for up to 30% better performance in AI and data-intensive workloads like genomics, inference engines, and EDA simulations.

Unified block, file, and object architecture

In a significant expansion, object storage is now natively supported on FlashArray, marking a major step toward a single, unified architecture for block, file, and object storage, streamlining data operations across the board.

A data cloud for the AI era

Pure’s expanded Enterprise Data Cloud promises a seamless, high-performance data layer with consistent control regardless of whether data resides on-premises or in the cloud. The company believes this is the foundation organizations need to unlock business insights at speed and scale.

“We are unwavering in our mission to enable our customers' ambitions,” Colgrove said. “This is the most innovative and reliable foundation for whatever’s next.”

For enterprises grappling with fragmented infrastructure, exploding unstructured data, and AI workloads that demand real-time insight, Pure Storage’s unified platform could be a defining answer.
