Sophos has announced a major integration that will see its Sophos Endpoint protection natively included with all Taegis Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) subscriptions. This move follows Sophos's acquisition of Secureworks in February 2025 and is a significant step in combining the strengths of both companies to offer a more unified and cost-effective cybersecurity solution.

The integration means that customers will no longer need to purchase a separate endpoint security solution, which could lead to lower costs and a better return on investment (ROI). According to Raja Patel, Chief Product Officer at Sophos, "Integrating Sophos Endpoint with Taegis delivers a best-in-class unified protection, detection, investigation, and response platform—while also reducing customer costs".
A unified platform for better defense
The new integration is designed to provide customers with immediate access to a single platform for preventing, detecting, and responding to cyberattacks. Sophos Endpoint brings a range of advanced capabilities to the Taegis platform, including:
Ransomware and adversary mitigation: Sophos Endpoint offers a strong defense against ransomware with features like CryptoGuard, which automatically deploys to shut down attacks before they can escalate.
Simplified management: Customers can now download, install, and manage Sophos Endpoint directly from the Taegis console, reducing management overhead.
Seamless workflows: Telemetry and detections from Sophos Endpoint are ingested directly into the Taegis platform, allowing customers to maintain their existing workflows for threat investigation and response.
Despite this native integration, Taegis will remain an open platform, allowing organizations to continue using other endpoint protection solutions if they choose. This flexibility is a key value proposition for customers, as Taegis still supports integrations with other leading products like CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, and Carbon Black.
Strategic market impact
This integration comes at a time of rapid growth in the Managed Detection and Response (MDR) market, which is projected to grow to $8.34 billion by 2032. MDR services are becoming increasingly popular due to the rising sophistication of cyberattacks, a global shortage of cybersecurity talent, and the growing adoption of cloud computing.
Just last week, another popular MSSP provider, Blackpoint, announced native integration with Sentinel One endpoint protection.
