IT monitoring leader Paessler GmbH has completed the global launch of its first-ever Managed Service Provider (MSP) offering. The program, first introduced in Europe in March 2025, has now expanded into North America with the company appointing seasoned channel executive Joe Paquet to lead regional growth.

The launch comes as organizations increasingly rely on MSPs to navigate cloud migrations, cybersecurity threats, IoT integration, and real-time data management. IT spending is projected to hit $5.74 trillion in 2025, a 9.3% increase from 2024, according to Gartner. Paessler sees this as a critical opportunity to enable MSPs with flexible, revenue-generating solutions that go beyond traditional license reselling.

A new chapter for MSP enablement

“2025 will be a pivotal year for MSP growth,” said Edward Knight, MSP Director at Paessler. “Our ambition is to offer a viable alternative to rigid licensing, helping partners deliver more value while aligning with their evolving service models.”

Paessler’s new MSP program is built around PRTG, its flagship IT monitoring and observability solution, and includes a variety of partner-centric benefits:

  • Flexible licensing: MSPs can scale licenses up or down to match client needs.

  • Service-led model: Partners can build custom service offerings on top of PRTG sensors.

  • Dedicated support: Co-selling, joint pitching, and partner training tailored to MSPs.

  • Co-marketing funding: Investment in demand generation and brand visibility.

  • Partner recognition: Listing and promotion on Paessler’s official MSP directory.

  • Sales acceleration: Dedicated sales resources to support onboarding and growth.

  • Incentive structure: Tiered discounts that reward expansion and volume.

North America expansion and new leadership

Following the program’s initial European rollout in Q1 2025, Paessler is now bringing the initiative to North America, appointing Joe Paquet as Sales Manager for the MSP Program. Paquet brings more than 30 years of experience in channel development, most recently serving as Head of Channels, Americas at Lansweeper.

“Joe's track record in turning data into revenue opportunities for channel partners makes him a strategic addition to our MSP leadership,” said Helmut Binder, CEO of Paessler GmbH. “His leadership, coupled with our product and partner investments, will help MSPs rethink how they monetize monitoring as a service.”

In his new role, Paquet will focus on onboarding new partners, supporting existing MSPs, and promoting the use of Paessler’s observability stack to drive long-term business value.

Supporting digital transformation at scale

The MSP program reflects a broader shift in IT services delivery, from transactional software sales to outcome-driven, data-informed services. As complexity rises across IT ecosystems, Paessler sees a growing role for MSPs who can proactively monitor, optimize, and secure critical infrastructure for their clients.
