Tesla shares up: Elon Musk now the richest man on the planet
Elon Musk is currently the richest person on the planet with a net worth of $184 billion. He did not reach this number overnight. Elon Musk was the founder of X.com which later became PayPal. PayPal is a hugely successful platform to transfer funds safely and quickly. With that Musk gained initial funds to push towards his dream of advancing the technical industry.
Many people are trying to do different things and to bring change to the world while Musk is already doing it. His company SpaceX was founded in 2002 and his motor car company Tesla Motors in the year of 2003.
2021 is a great year for Tesla Motors. Tesla shares got a rise by 50% which added a 500 Index. Making Elon Musk the richest man on the planet overtaking Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos.
Amazon is also a world-class brand name which kept Bezos at the top of the list consequently for 3 years straight.
Tesla is so successful, Elon Musk shared a tweet about its early days when he reached out to the Apple CEO, Tim Cook for the possibility of Apple acquiring Tesla Motors. His tweet also mentioned the value for the acquisition was only 1/10th of what it is now. Cook refused the meeting.
Musk’s SpaceX is working with a vision for the colonization of planet Mars. He is taking the steps towards commercial space flights for the general population.
With trials and errors, Tesla is now the best brand for electric cars. SpaceX also had its downtimes. With many failed attempts and explosions, the team came to realize how to perfectly get the task done. Now SpaceX sends satellites for big names on the planet to space.
Tesla now has a market value of $700bn (£516bn), and it has broken all the records previously held. Tesla also got the name of the fastest growing business in tech to reach this scale.
Elon Musk replied to a tweet in his classic humorous style to the account @teslaownersSV. They tweeted that Elon Musk is now worth $190 billion. Elon replied “How strange” and “Well, back to work…” on the next one.
Vison for Tesla is to make the highest quality electric vehicles possible that are affordable and don’t pollute the environment. We think people now see the benefit and things are becoming more electric fuel-based.
